Month parameter in REST api

Can we have or do we have a parameter for month so that we can search previous months data as done in the below site...

So, I've looked into the code in the past, and I don't think the API as it's currently structured will support that. The problem is that it currently only lists active solicitations, so querying previous months will yield you few, if any, results. I've looked into how to adjust that parameter myself, as I'd also like to be able to pull old solicitations, but I haven't had the time to really dive into the problem.
