Challenge Pitch
During the pandemic, many people got a pet. Now that normal life is back, many of these people no longer have time for their animal and have given it to animal shelters. These in turn are now struggling with the consequences - and are sometimes very challenged. Can we as a software community help these animal shelters in some way?
I had the idea to create an app that connects future pet owners and animal shelters. Through the app, the animals are liked by the future owners - a kind of “Tinder” - and thus express their interest in this animal. The animal shelters, on the other hand, then get the profile of the user - and can already determine in advance whether the user is suitable for the animal - and can accept or reject the future owner. If there is a match - user and animal shelter are connected to clarify further details.
