May I ask why such a "big generic exclusion" of gitlab.com from "generic parameter filtering"?

I have a general $removeparam=utm_source filter, but this ^^ line (which gets converted to @@/^https?:\/\/([a-z0-9-]+\.)*?(cloudflare\.com|prismic\.io|tangerine\.ca|gitlab\.com)/$removeparam) makes my $removeparam=utm_source a no-op.
