Stack sizes higher than 127

Suggestion to add ability to change max stack sizes to be above 127.

I understand that the slot numbers overlaying the item texture only go up to 127, but I think it would be really cool to be able to go higher.

One way i am thinking this could be implemented is where the item's stack is displayed in the item's lore.

This could definitely be possible. However, it would have some limitations that are set by Minecraft itself. The amount displayed next to an item, is always set as a byte by the Minecraft client. This means that the value can never be seen by the player above 127 or below -127.

I could use your suggestion about using the lore, to store the real item amount based on when a player picks up an item, uses, places, a block, etc. However, it is not possible to visually show the item number next to the item above 127 so the best solution would be to keep the item at a value of 1 (so no number is shown) and then just store the item amount in the lore instead (and then update the lore based on items dropped, placed, etc).

Let me know if this is sufficient to your needs and I can go ahead and spend some more time trying to make this work.

Going to add an option to use lores/custom item meta to store the amount of an item in a stack and update the item amount based on when an item is dropped, placed, etc.

This will mean each stack can store an unlimited amount of items and is not limited by Minecraft itself.
