ncurses is broken on ttyjs

I can't figure out what is going on, but man shows this issue. man isn't on the Centos DO droplets, but it is on the stock debian droplets. i think this is related to issue #2 where clear only clears the top part of the screen.

@bkreider Actually on second thought. perhaps this is related to the terminal thinking that it is the wrong size. lets hold off and retest after @raymondshah99 updates with hist changes
