Audio stops transmitting when app is in background or screen is locked

I encountered an issue where audio transmission is disrupted during calls, the receiver of the call is unable to hear what I say but I can hear what he says.

This happens under specific conditions:

1. If I switch to another app during the call (i.e., the app is no longer in the foreground).
2. If the device screen is locked while the call is active.
