No sites available to select

Hello,

Great plugin, it is just what I need, and I am using wordpress with version 4.5.7, after activated it, there is no sites available to select, and please check the screenshot.

I know Multisite Auth need wordpress 4.7 at least, but for us, there is another project which need php version 5.6.30, so we have to use wordpress 4.5.7 to make both project running.

It would be much great if you can make Multisite Auth compatible with wordpress 4.5.7.

And another point is that it would be great if user can be redirected back to site where try to login after he login, is that possible?

Hi Alex,

Sorry about not being able to reply on the w-org forums. Being overloaded with some commitments.

The plugin can be customized for those needs. As per the screenshot, there must be some sort of error that's blocking the output render, maybe something with get_sites() function or so. To find out what it is, try enabling debug mode by setting WP_DEBUG constant to true in wp-config.php, then, visit back the settings screen of the plugin and refresh, you'll be able to see some errors on screen. Come back and report them. That should be able to help.

I am glad you find the plugin useful. I originally developed it for someone and I am using it myself to manage my network of sites, and I hope we can get this fixed for you to benefit from it as well.

There are some error message, but it seems not related to multisite-auth

For your information, we use the domain of oursite.com(no www) as the root site of our MU, and the domain of www.oursite.com is actually a subsite. the reason why we do this is for security consideration.

By the way, here is our environment for your referrence: HHVM, redis, nginx, and php version 5.6.30-0+deb8u1

Sorry about the delay.

Please debug this further. You can check your error log file and report back errors related to this plugin. You might as well check if this function used to retrieve a list of sites is actually retrieving them for your network: print_r ( get_sites() );. I couldn't reproduce this.

Hello,

I upgrade wordpress Mu to latest version 4.8.1, and it works fine.
How to Edit the Authentication page? it will report 404 if visit it directly.

I am just think whether it is possible edit it so that it more fit our design, thanks.

Thanks for your reply, and the reason why I have not reply to you is that I want to test more and hope send you exact errors. I found sometimes it can not auto synchronize the cookie across all of sub sites. For example, there are four subsites:A, B, C, D. when I login A, but I have not sign in B, C, D.

Unfortunately, I am still not sure the problem is definitely related to Multisite-auth, since this happen after wordpress 4.9 updated.

Here is how I am using Multisite-auth, I want completely hide main site(root site) for any other role except administrator. my root site url is MYSITE.COM, and redirect all access to www.mysite.com; which plugin do you recommend to use to hide main site? I mean the one mostly match well with Multisite-auth.

I assigned a subsite as login site: login.mysite.com, and forbid or disable all of roles to access to dashboard since all of our online service can complete at frontend. which plugin do you recommend to disable access to dashboard?

After tested, and also discuss with the author of IP-Geo-block at here:

And about 2#, I think Multisite-auth has its own session to achieve the site wide authentication. On the other hand, IPGB adopts the WordPress standard authentication and verification mechanism. So I’m sorry I can’t make them compatible.

so, this might be the reason why the cookie not does not auto-syn across network? what do you think? if yes, any other compatible security plugin to recommend?

Dear Alex,

Sorry for the delays, I have been away for quite some time.

Please note that this plugin uses WordPress API to authenticate users, so WordPress is what processes the auth cookies and tokens, and not mu-auth.

It uses wp_set_current_user() and wp_set_auth_cookie() functions to do so (see User::loginUser method), and if you configure WordPress correctly then it should work. I think maybe you need to do some sort of domain mapping or something? anyways if you can help me reproduce your case then I'll be able to help, I have couple test domains or I can test it locally as long as I can reproduce the issue.

Yes, I can reproduce the issue once I activate both multisite-auth and IP-Geo-Block every time. I only activate multisite-auth and Ip-geo-block networkly, and there is no any other plugin activated, the session will not be auto-syn across network, also the administrator can not login again to main site dashboard if logout.

Actually, this make me embarrassed since I want to use both of them, but I have to deactivate multisite-auth since I have to use Ip-geo-block for security conderation.

As to domain mapping, I understand it is used for mapping several domain on one site, and really have no idea how to set for this issue, do you mean I should map auth site as primary domain?
