Changes not saving in large FlutterFlow project with multiple collaborators.

Can we access your project?

• I give permission for members of the FlutterFlow team to access and test my project for the sole purpose of investigating this issue.

Current Behavior

• Changes made by one collaborator are sometimes not saved or are automatically overwritten when another collaborator saves their work.

• This happens even when collaborators are working on different pages.

• In some cases, changes appear to save successfully but disappear after refreshing the project.

• The FlutterFlow editor becomes slow and unresponsive for this project, especially during longer sessions.

• Build times have increased significantly compared to earlier stages of the project.

Expected Behavior

• Changes made by each collaborator should persist reliably.

• Work done on one page should not affect or overwrite work done by another collaborator on different pages.

• The editor should remain responsive and performant, even for larger projects.

• Saves should be deterministic and consistent across sessions and devices.

Steps to Reproduce

1. Open the same FlutterFlow project using two different collaborator accounts.

2. Collaborator A opens and edits Page X.

3. Collaborator B simultaneously opens and edits Page Y.

4. Both collaborators save their changes.

5. Refresh the project or navigate between pages.

6. Observe that:

   • Some changes from one collaborator are missing or reverted.

   • In some cases, the project state reflects only one collaborator’s changes.

Hello!!

When using the Desktop App, many changes are saved locally first and then synced. During this sync process, some changes may overwrite others if multiple collaborators are working at the same time.

For this reason—especially in large projects or collaborative workflows—we highly recommend using the Branch feature. Each collaborator should work on their own branch, make their changes, and then merge them into main. This approach prevents changes from being overwritten and ensures a much safer collaboration experience.
