Project Description

Phishing Website Checker is a web-based security application built during the hackathon to help users identify whether a website URL is safe or potentially phishing. Phishing attacks are one of the most common cybersecurity threats, often leading to data theft and financial loss. This application allows users to input a website URL and instantly checks it using Google Safe Browsing API. Based on Google’s threat intelligence, the system displays a clear SAFE or UNSAFE result. The frontend is deployed using Firebase Hosting, and the backend logic runs using Node.js for real-time URL verification.
