Description
Phone Number Validation Fails for Provincial Numbers in Argentina
Issue Summary
During the final step of identity verification (phone number validation), users with phone numbers from Argentine provinces encounter validation errors. The system returns either a "401" error or an "Invalid phone number format" message, preventing successful completion of the verification process.
Environment
- SDK Version: 5.4.12 (latest)
- Platform: iOS / Android
- Country: Argentina
- Affected Region: Provincial phone numbers (outside Buenos Aires metropolitan area)
Expected Behavior
Provincial phone numbers from Argentina should be accepted and validated successfully during the phone verification step, following the same process as Buenos Aires numbers.
Actual Behavior
When users enter provincial phone numbers, the system:
- Returns a 401 HTTP error code, OR
- Displays "Invalid phone number format" error message
- Prevents users from completing the identity verification process
Steps to Reproduce
- Start identity verification flow
- Complete all steps until phone number validation
- Enter a provincial phone number from Misiones:
3751200232 - Attempt to verify the phone number
- Observe the error response (401 or "Invalid phone number format")
Phone Number Format Examples
Working formats (Buenos Aires):
- +54 11 XXXX-XXXX
- +5411XXXXXXXX
Failing formats (Provincial):
- +54 375 120-0232 (Misiones - specific failing example)
- +54 351 XXX-XXXX (Córdoba)
- +54 261 XXX-XXXX (Mendoza)
- +54 341 XXX-XXXX (Rosario)
- Other provincial area codes
Specific Test Case
Phone Number: 3751200232
Area Code: 375 (Misiones province)
Full International Format: +54 375 120-0232
Error Received: [401 error OR "Invalid phone number format" message]
Impact
- Users from Argentine provinces cannot complete identity verification
- Significant user experience issue affecting a large portion of our Argentine user base
- Business impact: reduced conversion rates for users outside Buenos Aires
Additional Context
This issue appears to be related to phone number format validation in the SDK. Argentine provincial numbers follow a different format than Buenos Aires numbers, with 3-digit area codes instead of 2-digit codes.
Argentine phone number format reference:
- Buenos Aires: +54 11 + 8 digits
- Provinces: +54 + 3-digit area code + 7 digits

Requested Action
Please review and update the phone number validation logic to properly handle Argentine provincial phone number formats according to the official Argentine numbering plan.
