[Tidal Tags] (tidal-hifi) Tags usually does not display correctly and errors

As the title says, Tags 95% of the time does not display correctly.

It will display when tidal is opened for the first time. But other than that is just errors. I'm using Tidal HiFi on Bazzite.

Ctrl Shift I doesnt seem to open the console unfortunately.

Ah Yea, hifi being hifi.

You should be able to open it via the hifi menu in the top

How have you installed hifi? Might need to try another method. I suspect it may be related to the issue at hand too.

If you can't get console open there probably isn't much I can do.

Via the Luna installer.

I was able to get this though! This errors every time I restart or change tracks.

Hmm, is the song downloader plugin working? Can you try download a song.

Are you playing at max quality or below max? If below try max quality.

I meant the underlying hifi install but given the dull error its probably unrelated.

Yes the downloader is indeed working. I am on Max. Though weirdly it won't download flacs and only downloads m4a.

Yea that's another weird bug with hifi.

OK and those files playback fine?

Honestly I'm a tad lost why it's broken for you, I'll check in with other Linux users on discord to see if it's replicatable.

Yeah you know they seem fine. They are m4a's so its missing the album art and whatnot, but other than that they playback fine. It seems like its erroring when its trying to parse the bitrate though. Sometimes it can grab the quality but it can't display the bitrate.

Edit: seems like it now half displays data or just gets stuck on loading. It's now behaving entirely different 😭

Edit 2: How can I access the native debugger thats in luna settings?

Sounds like it's reproducable fairly consistently so, I'll leave this open to fix sometime.

And that debugger is for native-side only not client-side. You'd need to open chromium debugging tools and attach to it.
