What do you mean by "see chunks"?

If you want to see chunk borders, you can use F3+G.

If you want to see unloaded chunks, you can try something like the bobby mod that extends the client-side view distance further than the server's. However note that Freecam is a client-only mod, so it'll never load chunks from the server that are far away from the player.
