Confusing scroll bar behavior on Status Messages display #146
Description
The behavior of the scroll bar in the Status Messages section of the main page is confusing. As new messages come in, the scroll bar somehow moves to somewhere near the center of the recent activity shown in the log. However, the user will almost always be interested in the most recent messages, which are not shown in this position. The behavior is particularly confusing if the user has scrolled all the way to the top (= newest messages), and a new message comes in. It's then easy to miss the fact that the scroll bar has automatically moved down, and the newest messages are not longer displayed.
If the user has scrolled all the way to the top, the scroll bar should remain at the very top when new messages come in such that these are displayed automatically. Thanks!
