In theory, it will increase the popularity of sdk because it will be used in open-source projects. Some companies also open their sdk and application code, which enhances the company ' s credibility, and also enables users to assist in the development of their software.

I can't believe Nothing has gone with this closed-source API requiring convoluted approach!
Do you want your glyphs to be more than just a mostly unused gimmick, or do you want developers to actually implement support for it!?

Ideally, the SDK would be open source or at least easier to install. And if it were possible, the glyph feature would work like a permission. You'd need to give apps permission to interface with the glyphs. That way, it won't cause problems when more apps add support. And you might also have some kind of priority system to deal with multiple apps wanting to use it at the same time.
But those are just some of my ideas on how it could be implemented.

While the current strategy is rather baffling to me, I do want to give Nothing credit for their good and unique phones.
I'm very happy with my Nothing phone A2. I'm just disappointed to see that I naively believed nothing was different in more ways than their unique phones and focus on minimalism.
And I sincerely hope Nothing reconsiders their strategy.

I'd like to apologize for this slightly heated comment. And I know it's not the fault of the devs.
You guys are probably just doing your job. But I still wanted to voice my concerns here anyway.
I wouldn't know where else I could do so with a chance of actually reaching Nothing.
