How to open images in preview window from explorer ?

Hello,

Thank you for the excellent program. I looked around and couldnt find a way to view the image directly by double clicking the image file in windows file explorer. What am I doing wrong?

Would any mind better than me guide me how can I open images in preview windows ? Directly viewing the file from explorer?

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

By "preview windows" you mean the OS preview window? like when you press space on MacOS?

No sir, I dont mean that. I mean having an additional binary inside the program that can open the images directly by double clicking the image file in windows explorer like JPEGView does. Program displays the images inside the program, what happens if I want to view an image file outside of the program ?

Also, does program has any functionality to continuously monitor the folders added in the library ? I know there's a refresh button at the bottom, but that's manual indexing refresh. Anyway to make program automate that functionality?

I have some more questions, ideas, I will post later.

So like "open with OneFolder by default" type of thing?

Every time we try to do a "watch" it has too many side effects and we turn it off. We will do it one day for sure is just that is has been more difficult than we thought

Opening the image inside full main program is a different thing, I'm not talking about that here. I'm talking about the preview that can open image directly by clicking the image file from windows explorer without the program. Every photo app has it. For instance in old Picasa that I still use, main picasa.exe is the photo library / main full program but there's also "C:\Program Files (x86)\Google\Picasa3\PicasaPhotoViewer.exe" which once associated with image types as default program, opens / previews the images outside of main picasa program / library.

Another example: Windows photo viewer legacy app (not modern UWP app)

I think this functionality is already inside OneFolder, when I open an image inside the program, right click, there's an option open image with the preview or something like that. It just needs to be seperate binary that can be associated with the image files and can work / preview the images outside of main program.

I hope its clear enough. I don't know how else to explain it.

I'm not using any tags at all. What does tags have to do with previewing the image outside of the main program?
