Help on the installation of OpenFAST.

Hi all, I am trying to run the version 3.2.1 of the openFAST following this video (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Uie_wcoXWW0&t=946s- please go to 8:05) but it seems that something is missing, as I cannot run OpenFAST by following the steps explained in the video. Can someone help me please ?

What issue are you running into?

FYI 1: Unless you have a strong reason to use an old version of OpenFAST, I would always recommend using the most up-to-date version, which is currently v4.1.2

I can't run it . It is not executing the installation of the software. The reason is that I am following the video and it is stated thet strong recommendation to download that version 3.2.1,

Do you think that i could do the exercise using the new version?

I haven't watched the complete video, so, I don't know what is being recommended. But, "yes", I suggest using the newest version of OpenFAST. You can download the software from here: https://github.com/OpenFAST/openfast/releases. If you are on Windows, we've already provided pre-compiled executables, so, the installation is straightforward.

Many thanks for your quick response. This is my first time using the software, and I am trying to simulate a wind turbine with a constant wind flow. My understanding is that I just need to download the software and run the input files provided in this link: OpenFAST Quickstart tutorial — is that correct?

If there are any additional tutorials or recommendations that could help me understand the software better, I would really appreciate it. I am a part-time student and still finding my way around the tools, so any guidance would be extremely helpful.
