log file writing

Ideally, we would have the ability (through actions) to select which variables would be logged out, start and stop logging manually, get the space left on the sd card, safely unmount the sd card.

A lot of this functionality would be done in the embedded repository, but the generic tools for writing a log file to an arbitrary stream should be implemented in the generated code support library.
