Trigger and Shortcut

How the trigger works? Is it switching Fn mode by Globe button? And what do the other two trigger mode do? And how to add a custom shortcut to switch Fn mode?

Just installed and I figured the right most means "global" as in it stays in the chosen mode system wide.
The other two seem to change according to the active app and how it is configured, but I still don't understand them.

Also there's no way to change the shortcut 😕 in the meantime I set fn key from Show Emojis and Symbols to Do Nothing.
