Add support for File Pilot 3rd-party file manager #1840

Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe.

QuickLook already supports previewing from several 3rd-party file managers (both “out-of-the-box” and “needs configuration”). However, File Pilot is not currently listed/supported.

When using File Pilot as my main file manager, I can’t trigger QuickLook-style previews (e.g., Spacebar) on the current selection (that triggers in-app preview), so I have to switch back to Explorer/another supported manager to use QuickLook.

Describe the solution you'd like

Add File Pilot integration/support so QuickLook can be used while browsing files inside File Pilot, similar to how other file managers are supported. This could be achieved either by an out-of-the-box setup, or through some additional configuration as with other options.

Describe alternatives you've considered

  • Using a supported file manager instead (Explorer / Files / Directory Opus / etc.)
  • Using File Pilot’s built-in “Inspector” instead of QuickLook (but QuickLook’s plugin ecosystem + behavior consistency is the main reason I want this integration)
  • Manually running QuickLook via CLI per file (not practical for daily use)

Additional context

  • File Pilot version: 0.6.3 (beta)
  • QuickLook version: 4.3.0
  • Windows version: Windows 11 25H2

I searched existing issues for “File Pilot / FilePilot / file manager” and didn’t find an existing feature request - sorry if I missed one.
