Video Preview Problem

Hello,

I tried msi version also.
Upgraded graphic card drivers lates.
25h2 updates. (Clean install not fix also)

I need QuickLook 4.3 and all features work well on my system. EVR etc.

How to fix it?

QuickLook 4.3 fails to play video on Windows 11 25H2 – EVR / Media Foundation issue

Environment:

• Windows 11 25H2 (clean install via Media Creation Tool)
• QuickLook 4.3 (Microsoft Store)
• GPU: (Intel / NVIDIA / AMD – any, issue is reproducible)
• Media Player works fine, only QuickLook video preview fails

Problem:
QuickLook 4.3 fails to create Enhanced Video Renderer (EVR) and throws:
"WPFMediaKitException: Could not create EnhancedVideoRenderer
Can't load library EvrPresenter64.dll"

Notes:

• Visual C++ Redistributables and codecs do NOT affect the issue
• This is likely related to EVR / WPFMediaKit behavior under Store sandbox or Media Foundation registration differences
• Same installation works on notebook well. Same distro etc. It may occur related driver or system for this computer, i dont know.

Expectation:
QuickLook should either:

• Switch away from WPFMediaKit + EVR
• Or implement a fallback renderer when EVR fails
• Or use Media Foundation native playback APIs compatible with Windows 11 24H2 / 25H2

Installed and working on: https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/download/776137/intel-7th-10th-gen-processor-graphics-windows.html latest driver of GPU provided from manufacturer.

But QuickLook 4.3 not work with it. Maybe oldest version may work well but I dont know...

I really don’t have an idea.
You can leave your GPU model.
Maybe someone in the community has experience.

🤔Maybe in the future, WPFMediaKit could be included as an option for using alternative player components, so that we wouldn’t have to keep maintaining the legacy framework, and one advantage is that it is compatible with ARM chips.

I encountered the same problem. I am using a laptop, version 25H2. GPU 0 is UHD 620, GPU 1 is MX250. Have you tried reinstalling the operating system? Would that solve the issue?

Based on my experience with certain GPU-driven applications (such as NVEnc), the Windows pre-installed GPU driver is often not recognized by some applications and therefore needs to be reinstalled.
