Potentially we could use the SafeSlinger protocol (and Android Client) for simultaneous key exchanges between groups of users.

It would work well for your scheme I think. I work on SafeSlinger, and we're always looking for improvements and the next platform people need the most. Your scheme is very broad, and while it seems iOS is out of scope you you, perhaps Mac OS would be the next most useful exchange library. Let us know you if you'd like to discuss the protocol at all.
