[Suggestion] Thoughts on possible video card overhaul?

So this is just a concept I've been working on, but since we have the ability to grab game data, dates, etc...the database is being built up pretty nicely, and figured we could use it as an opportunity to rethink how videos are displayed.

This is just a WIP right now, but wanted to see if there was interest on a redesign on the video cards before I decided to keep pursuing it. This will likely be very far off from being complete, likely only after all the other systems are cleaned up and proven to be working with minimal bugs.

It takes a lot of inspo from youtube's layout, I won't lie, as that's where I spend a lot of my time haha. But it works though:
• Videos still scale perfectly with the slider on the left, can resize as needed
• Videos are separated by dates, making it much easier to see the newest stuff at a glance
• Thumbnails are no longer covered up with information, since a lot of the info can be moved under the thumbnail, or can be edited within the video modal.
• game icons are pulled from steamgriddb for them to be recognizable at a glance.

Just wanted to see if there'd be interest in this before putting any more work into it haha, let me know what you think.

Honestly the a UI overhaul has been something I've wanted to do for a while. The video cards definitely can be updated and I do like your examples. Only thing is I would still like them to be easily editable, especially toggling the public/private via a simple 1 click action and not requiring opening a modal.

I do really like it being sectioned by dates. But I think that should be a toggle-able option that is off by default. So default would just be waterfall all the videos so that your filling your page.

If we force it to sort by date, some people (definitely me) will have a single video on a row and then you'd be scrolling for years to find your video.

I noticed the copy link button isn't in your example but I assume that's because its WIP like you said.

Glad you like it! Cool. Like I said it's a long way off but I'll definitely keep working on this then :)

Totally agree, dates don't make sense for every workflow, this is designed with a toggle visibility checkmark in mind in the Settings page. Btw totally forgot to mention but I am working on a dates branch haha, expect a PR for that soon!

Good feedback! Yeah I do think we should still be able to edit most things without having to open a second modal. of course WIP but there's a few ways we can achieve this.
A quick toggle right aligned aligned I think would be perfect.

But if we want to access more options, we can also add a little ellipsis menu to be able to store some quick actions. Copy link to clipboard, edit title, edit game, etc. But the idea is most of this will likely be able to be integrated in the "edit" button that we're working on, so there's less overall clutter on the video cards.

Either way, there are options! This is just proof of concept but if there's interest I'll def keep working on it :)

Definitely interest, I really do like a lot of what I'm seeing. Especially the additions of the steamgrid assets.
