Long update download

Bug description

I do not know if this should happen by default, but downloading one mod from the update from my modpack took about 5 minutes.
I can't figure out at what stage the slowdown begins, maybe it's related to the connection.

Steps to reproduce

1. Join a server with an older version of the modpack

Expected behavior

I imagined that it would take much less time, like 1 minute or less.

Hmm it looks like you have a lot of files, could you share your modpack-content.json?

could the lack of a SSD affect the download speed or something like that?

Thanks, yeah it could since looking at the logs the actual download took just 2 sec, the whole process takes much more because it first checks which files changed and what do we need to download. That being said, in this case it's ridiculous. I will look into optimization of this code path.

Okay so, the bottleneck here was definitely the disk I/O. To minimize it I've implemented a simple metadata cache whose the whole purpose is to store already calculated sha1 hashes for downloaded files and use them later for all the logic if the size and modification date of the file matches, that should mean that any subsequent modpack update should be basically instant compared to the 4mins of busy waiting.

Well, the mod loading is almost instant, but it still takes a long time to remove the previous mod version (i guess)

try relaunching the game again, the first time could be slower because it still had to calculate all the hashes to save them into cache and then it can use them to be faster
