straw golem stop working, and item transfer pipe not working after restart the game.

My farm is 11x9 wide farm and the straw golem is trap inside with stone walls. After a while , the straw golem stop working on one side of the farm, I suspicious for it has something to do with chunk as my farm is lie separately on 4 chunks and the golem only work if they are inside 2 chunks and stop working once they pass the border of the other 2 chunks.

Also the item transfer pipe seem to not working well after I reload the game. they got stucked and I need to reconect the line every time I login.

Are there any crops near the outside of the walled enclosure on the side where the golems stop working? They have a large detection range and will attempt to get to mature crops even if they are blocked from them.

how close should it not be? I have the crafting table seed sets about 12 blocks away and a bunch of fire seed the same distance.

I'd say at least a full chunk, probably not more than a chunk and a half (24 blocks) based on how they've behaved so far. I know my own setup erred on the side of excess.

I saw that on FTB wiki, straw golem can harvest sugarcane too? is it true? be cause the side with sugarcane have never been touched. Also I have a side with normal fence cactus farm, I afraid they will get damaged by cactus so I put it one block higher. will they try to harvest them too?

I never tried that. I used a basic observer/piston setup for can.

Okay I will try remove those seeds later. Not sure if it works though, I had those golem work on the farm even closer to those seeds, the farm was then repurposed as I need bigger area for my farm.
