Hello fabapp team!

I've been following along on the development of fabapp for a bit and was excited to see version 1 get released not too long ago. I figured I'd give it a go & am running into a bit of trouble with the installation.

Everything comes up no problem, but when I go to log in with the bypass user account I get a blank screen. It's worth noting that when I try using LDAP I do get an error:
You have an error in your SQL syntax; check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near 'redacted_user', 'redacted_password') #1 /home/twumd/public_html/fabapp/index.php(6):' at line 5

Outside of that, I don't see any php errors other than warnings, no console errors, & it seems like it's connecting to the db just fine.

Curious as to if you might have any tips on a fix for this 😁.

Our environment is as follows:

  • Apache 2.4
  • PHP 7.2.34 w/mysqli, ssl, & ldap extensions enabled
  • MySQL 5.7.16 (I've also tried using MySQL 5.7.31 & MySQL 5.6, to no avail)

To provide some context, we'd like to test out fabapp in our Terrapin Works operation at the University of Maryland. Other than wildly expensive enterprise solutions, there's not really anything out there that does what fabapp does & we're intrigued.

Thanks in advance for any help you might be able to provide.
