Symptoms
Running through Steam Link on Meta Quest 3.
Game doesn't start.
- In proton 8.0-5, it crashes before doing anything. (I tested proton 8 because there is a single report on protondb saying it worked on 8.0-4 on Valve Index)
- In proton 9.0-4, it gives an unreal dialog message
- In proton 10.0-3, it gives an assert dialog, then the unreal dialog message:
- In proton experimental bleeding-edge, it crashes Steam Link / SteamVR:

- Connect Steam Link to the PC in the headset
- Start the game
