Question about commented-out hydrodynamic inertial excitation in raft_rotor (line 999)

Hi,

I’m exploring the possibility of using RAFT for floating tidal turbines, and I noticed that the hydrodynamic added mass and inertial excitation coefficient is already implemented. However, on line 999, the code related to “Add hydrodynamic inertial excitation” is currently commented out.

Could you kindly clarify why was this term disabled? and do you foresee RAFT being applicable to floating tidal turbine, which operate in high-density water environments with different excitation characteristics compared to wind?

@shousner and I checked into this, and the answer is that this capability is included, but it is located in FOWT.calcHydroExcitation. You can find it around here:
