More permissive license?

Is there any plan to switch to a more permissive license? APL-compatible 
license would be great!

I'd like to add HDT support to Apache Marmotta, via implementing 
https://openrdf.atlassian.net/browse/SES-1874, but the license restrictions 
makes that a bit hard to handle.
