[Bug]: Armbian FLASH fails

• I am using the latest version of Armbian Imager

Bug Description

I downloded the file Armbian_25.5.1_Orangepizero2w_bookworm_current_6.12.23_minimal.img.xz file
and attempted to write it to an SD card. I got an error on Armbian Imager that said "FLASH Failed".

I got the same error when I attempted to use the boot image in the Armbian Imager.

Expected Behavior

I expected a successful write to flash to create an SD card

Steps to Reproduce

1. Open Armbian Imager
2. Choose Brand - OrangePi
3. Choose board - Orange Pi Zero 2W
4. Choose OS - Armbian 25.5.1 Bookworm CLI
5. Choose Storage - SD Slot
6. Get a failure message

The imager where’s installed? Another question, how you plugged the sd card? Via an adapter? Share more information possible I can’t actually reproduce your problem.

Is the problem only when you use the custom image function? Did you try directly from the selector?

Did you try with different media? How much memory the device have?

My box is a Dell Latitude 3540 running Ubuntu 24..04.3 LTS. It has an SD slot up front, so I put a micro SD into an SD converter.

I used an SD formatter from sdcard.org, to make sure I had as close to factory default performance as possible. I am using a micro SD by PNY, 32 GB, Elite HC

I have tried both the custom selection as well as the selector for the boot only install.

I was able to scratch up a 2 GB micro SD and it is completing the process successfully. I will get rid of that 32 GB PNY card. I apologize for the mental constipation.
