User Gmail Authentication

When attempting to authenticate the user for the first time, python responds with:

Please visit this URL to authorize this application: https://accounts.google.com/o/oauth2/auth?> response_type=code&client_id=473483965465-csab5tuoj648s848iqmdg0d6f280q3vm.apps.googleusercontent.com&redirect_uri=http%3A%2F%2Flocalhost%3A60167%2F&scope=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.googleapis.com%2Fauth%2Fgmail.readonly+https%3A%2F%2Fwww.googleapis.com%2Fauth%2Fgmail.send&state=Jq8747MZdlc7jtS6mUVQ6TYQbld1E0&access_type=offline

This needs to be set up to open a new web browser, whether on Mac or Windows, to navigate to this URL and allow the authentication to happen.

This can be accomplished with python's native webbrowser library. However, this is currently not working on my Windows 10 PC. It does not open the browser as expected.
