In the Oauth2callback/index.php file it references a function getHttpResponse, but the method in the class is getResponse().

Even when I change that, I'm still not getting a token.

You are right, you have to change the line 30 in the callback index.php to
$responseObj = json_decode($request->getResponse());

Use this code for the callback index.php, it enables verbose error messages.
