Linux server support?

I know it's early days, but are there plans for being able to use a Linux system as the server?

Well I didn't have a /use/ for it, but it shouldn't be terribly difficult in the age of libinput ! Seriously, it would probably take a couple hours top to slap something together! I don't have /just/ the right setup to do it here, but I'd love to help if you are willing to give it a kick... feel free to ping me personally!

Unfortunately I don't know enough C to help with the code, though I'll gladly help test if it gets to that stage.

Hi, I'd like to help with this. Are you still willing to help with the implementation?
My typical use case is a linux server with a Windows client.
If I have enough time, I'd like to help with the windows client too.
