thanks for ur reply. i am trying progress meter or progress bar and have tried things told y you in this web page. like changing php.ini etc. am not getting any progress bar for no of files uploaded. what should i do to get it

If the upload progress example doesn't work, it might be due to a misconfiguration with Session Upload Progress in your PHP setup:
