Do you perhaps have any instructions for implementing the control? I've added the control and cannot enter any text. If I add Content manually the content cannot be edited? Any assistance will be appreciated.

My apologies, i hadn't been able to do anything on this project for months.
Then days ago noticed that it wasn't working with Avalonia 11.1 or higher so had to dive into that.
Current version (package ver 1.0.18 on Nuget), or latest one here, should work for you on Avalonia 11.2.xx.
If not, or if you find a different issue, please let me know!

Hi there,

Still no luck in entering text or editing existing text. I have tried:
xmlns:avrtb="using:AvRichTextBox"

<avrtb:RichTextBox Content="Hello" Height="200" Background="White" Foreground="Black"/>
Text Hello cannot be selected or edited
<avrtb:RichTextBox Content="{Binding Body}" Height="200" Background="White" Foreground="Black"/>
Binding to Body and adding text does not add the text added to Body to the control.

Will be greatful for any assistance.

This particular RichTextBox is designed, at least for now, to be manipulated in code behind rather than in Xaml.
That is to say, it's not set for binding except on the native properties of a UserControl (like (IsVisible, Height, etc.). (Bindable properties will eventually be added I suppose.)

Right now I'm preparing a demo app to demonstrate how to use it, but for now the way to use it is:
Give the RichTextBox a name:
<avrtb:RichTextBox x:Name="MainRTB" ShowDebuggerPanelInDebugMode="False" >

Don't set the Content, because that will replace everything in the UserControl with whatever Content you set (In your code above, for example, you'll just see a "Hello" Text and nothing usable in it).

The name ("MainRTB" here) can be used in code behind to do everything that the RichTextBox can do. (For now lol. I think soon I can allow binding to a FlowDocument which will facilitate matters a bit.)

So, for example, in code behind:
MainRTB.LoadWordDoc("MyTestDocument.docx");
and type as in a normal textbox.

or manipulate it further in code behind to programmatically format text:
MainRTB.FlowDocument.Selection.Start = 0;
MainRTB.FlowDocument.Selection.End = 10;
MainRTB.FlowDocument.Selection.ApplyFormatting(FontWeightProperty, FontWeight.Bold);

like that.

I've done some basic tests (Added text, Bold/Underline/etc) and it seems to be working great now so thanks again for the effort.
