Not Assignable Error (touch method)

In multi-lne-chart.ts line 192,
.merge(focuses)
Occurs an error as below

Argument of type 'Selection<BaseType, ChartPoint[], BaseType, {}>' is not assignable to parameter of type 'Selection<SVGCircleElement, ChartPoint[], BaseType, {}>'.
Type 'BaseType' is not assignable to type 'SVGCircleElement'.
Type 'Element' is not assignable to type 'SVGCircleElement'.
Property 'pathSegList' is missing in type 'Element'. [2345]

I've implemented as below and worked correctly.
.merge(focuses as Selection<SVGCircleElement, ChartPoint[], BaseType, {}>);

Is this correct ?

My Environment is

• Angular : 7.0.0
• d3 : 5.7.0
• d3-interpolate-path : 2.0.1
