Can you help me implementing this into my app?

I'm doing it for android and ios. What i want is that my toolbar opens the textbar when i click the search button in the toolbar.  My toolbar has a onPress call to a function on the search icon so when i press the icon i call a function. What should i put into the function so it opens on the toolbar the search bar?
