ReiKey Warns this app as a key logger.

Why does this application monitor keypresses as warned to me by ReiKey and appear like a key logger? Even though the app is open source this can be alarming to see for most users and doesn't seem necessary since apps like CommandQ don't have this issue even though they serve the same function as an application. Thanks.
