cocoapods Missing the latest version.

When I write in the podfile

pod 'VisualEffectView', '~> 5.0.6' it shows that the repository cannot be found

Even though I updated the cocoapods repo

When I only write pod 'VisualEffectView', the installed version only goes up to 5.0.0

Why is this?

CocoaPods doesn’t pull directly from GitHub releases — it pulls from the CocoaPods Specs repo.

you can check what versions CocoaPods knows about directly from the terminal with:

pod trunk info VisualEffectView

and the latest version is 5.0.0:

[efremidze]

I'm having a hard time authenticating with CocoaPods trunk. Idk if it's still maintained. I'll file a bug ticket.
