Better template language

In working with liquid and seeing others, I've wondered about a template language that is "smarter".

One idea I've had is for extracting the core of nushell into being an embeddable language as it is meant for pipelining of data and heavy data processing. Text formatting might be weak though.

Recently came across koto and it seems like it might fit the bill for this perfectly.
