software clears .ico File contents upon opening without warning #187

Describe the bug
When I tried to open an .ico file, the editor emptied the file without any prompt, making the .ico file unopenable. I had to resort to a previous backup.
To Reproduce
Use the software to open an .ico file. The .ico file originally contains data.
Expected behavior
The software should display "Unsupported format" or show garbled characters when encountering this file type, instead of directly clearing the entire file and treating it as a text file for editing.
