The system cannot find the path specified

I have created a Blazor Web App project, I added a StyleSheet.scss file to the root of my project.

When I right click and recompile it, the conpilerconfig.json gets updated with inputFile/outputFile properties, but I get a compiler error "The system cannont find the path specified".

I get an error for every scss file I have in the project that I try to compile.

I'm I correct in assuming that when it says cannot find the specified path it is referring to something other than the scss file?

Can you provide an example of the project structure with compilerconfig.json and an scss file so that I can try to reproduce the issue?
