How not to black screen?

After running xsecurelock, the whole screen goes black until I move my mouse or press a key. It doesn't turn off, just gets black, as with a blank screensaver. I understand, that this is intentionally (since, for example, $XSECURELOCK_DISCARD_FIRST_KEYPRESS exists), but is there any way not to do that? 

I'd prefer to see the xsecurelock's auth window immediately, what option have I missed? :)
