landing pages for datasets

I finally understand the JSON data citation (JSON-LD?) information one can put into HTML, as seen in the source code for https://hpde.io/NASA/NumericalData/AMPTE-CCE/Ephemeris/PT1M.html. HAPI has a landing page where such information could be put, but really this should be attached to specific datasets, and presumably robots should have a way that they could find the landing page for each dataset.

I propose we done something like allow HAPI servers to host pages for each dataset, for example with
https://cdaweb.gsfc.nasa.gov/hapi?id=AC_H0_SWE. This could then provide the associated JSON along with arbitrary notes about the dataset.

I was thinking along those lines too.

Given that most servers don't do this and may not want to add this feature, what about

hapi-server.org/servers/ServerName/hapi/DatasetName

If we had SPASE records for all HAPI servers, we would not need to do this, as they would appear at hpde.io. However, given progress and organization of SPASE, I think we are better on our own because it will take less time and be more likely to get done.

That's interesting. It also occurred to me that a new layer on top of a HAPI server could accomplish this, too. It's probably better to keep HAPI minimal and focus on a service which translates HAPI into JSON LD. The service could have its own landing page with links to pages for each HAPI dataset.
