I think this is sufficient to get it going:

git submodule init -u
docker-compose build
docker-compose pull
docker-compose up

That didn't work for me, I had to do:

git submodule init
git submodule update
docker-compose pull

However, then I got this error:

Pulling lookupd       ... done
Pulling nsqd          ... done
Pulling ghollector    ... done
Pulling logstash      ... error
