Custom Record tracking

Hi,

first of all thanks for the great extension.
I wanted to ask if it is possible to track calls to custom records, similar to what you already do with "News".
Let's say I have an extension with a model "Car" and I want to know how often the detail page of a record was called.
Is this already possible or is it planned?
