How well does this support abl 100 we ?

I'm thinking of making my own app with react native. And removing some features that aren't supported by abl 100.

Would this api suffice ? I also am curious how you managed to create this api.

I've used nrf connect to snif some logs from watch to the app, but am unable to sniff the logs from app to phone. As id like to implement a few more features too if possible.

The ABL-100 is supported, but not its step counter (maybe you can add step counter support to the library). You can test what is working by running the App <https://github.com/izivkov/GShockAPI/blob/main/app/src/main/java/org/avmedia/gshock/MainActivity.kt> in this project, and taking a look at the logs. Basically, I use WireShark <https://www.wireshark.org/> to watch the BLE traffic between the watch and the official app. I then change some settings on the official app, and watch the traffic again. It's a pretty tedious process. You might have seen my other project, GShock Smart Sync app <https://github.com/izivkov/CasioGShockSmartSync>, which is a Kotlin android app using the library. Do you use any hardware like Nordic nRF52840 USB with Wireshark?

No, I don't use any special hardware. I just enable "Bluetooth HCI snoop log" on my phone while the watch is connected. Then load the produced file from the phone to WireShark. I usually mark the time when some events take place, like setting time, and when looking at the logs I know what was going on at this time. I also filter on the MAC address of the watch so I don't have to sift through the other traffic. After a while, you start to see a pattern between request from the app and reply from the watch. All requests/replies are based on keys, which are at the start of the message. Another way is to just debug the app with the API and examine what is sent and received. Ivo
