Type the letter "q"

Might be a very special case of PEBKAC here, but when typing the actual prompt (codex float open and in insert mode), how do I type the letter "q"? It closes the window even when just writing my prompt...

Good catch, I need to put that into the integration tests.

ESC makes for a bad exit hotkey because Codex itself uses esc, which was causing problems in previous builds

I switched it to q, ala nvim-LazyGit and several other plugins, but it would appear that itself has issues as you've just noted

It can't be a standard buffer close action either as that will kill any backgrounded sessions, so esc-esc :q won't work

I'll do some testing on potential alternatives and get back to you, if you have any recommendations feel free to share them here as well

Yeah, basically makes this unusable.

Issue has been fixed by moving the default close bind to <C-y>, tested as working. Allows user to background codex window while agent works, without losing context.
