Enable offline caching

Has someone thought about this before? I thought about creating an offline cache file, which gets synchronized using a background process. Or maybe synchronizing should only be done when running the script. Any opinions?

I use this to allow offline caching for GeekTool:
~/Scripts/tasky/tasky.py l > ~/Scripts/tasky/tasks.txt
