Invalid desktop entry file: several apps

I tried running each of the apps I installed under 73 Linux. I pretty much installed all of them, lol. I'm getting the "Invalid desktop entry file: 'home/n3tjr/.local/share/applications/.desktop'"

This is an issue for me trying to run Conky, HAMRS, js8Call, Chirp, YAAC

Running all the latest on Raspberry Pi 4:
Linux version 6.12.47+rpt-rpi-v8 (serge@raspberrypi.com) (aarch64-linux-gnu-gcc-14 (Debian 14.2.0-19) 14.2.0, GNU ld (GNU Binutils for Debian) 2.44) #1 SMP PREEMPT Debian 1:6.12.47-1+rpt1 (2025-09-16)

I've had this issue for some time now, and tried some fixes (reinstalling both system and 73-Linux with apps) but just getting around to posting it here.

Hey Tom,

I am by no means an expert, but I have been working with ChatGPT to fix Conky. I am running the 32bit Bookworm on my Pi4 because I mainly use it as a HamClock. Here is a screenshot of what I did (ChatGPT) to "Fix" conky. I have a few of the same errors that you had with Chirp, and a few others. I will post the fix that worked for me in a little bit.

If you are running the same Pi OS I am here is what I did for Chirp,

1. sudo apt remove -y chirp
2. sudo apt update
   sudo apt install -y chirp

Let it do its thing and then run it. Ran fine for me.

Like I said I am no expert and ChatGPT did all of the work for me.
