Allow edit mode for selected option

I see that the library does not allow editing selected option. I have to remove that option completely and type again to select other option. This editing is useful in case user has selected a wrong option which differs from the desired selected by just one or 2 characters.
I have made a small plugin for this, and can share if needed.
